Wellness Exams

Regular check-ups are a great way to maintain your pets health. Check the weight gains or losses. Talking to the vet about different things to expect in life stages. Advise on food, treats, training, vaccines, surgeries and any other concerns can be addressed in your wellness exams.

Spay & Neuter

Nevada State Law requires your pet be Spayed or Neutered. But this is not the only reason to spay and neuter pets.

Spaying is a general term used to describe the ovariohysterectomy of a female animal. Neutering is a general term used to describe the castration of a male animal.

We recommend that you have your pet Spayed or Neutered at 6 months of age. Some pets that are adopted from rescue groups and shelters may have been altered at an earlier age than this.

Through neutering, you can help your dog or cat live a happier, healthier, longer life. Spaying eliminates the constant crying and nervous pacing of a female cat in heat. Spaying a female dog also eliminates the messiness associated with the heat cycle.

Neutering of male dogs and cats can prevent certain undesirable sexual behaviors, such as urine marking, humping, male aggression and the urge to roam. If you have more than one pet in your household, all the pets will generally get along better if they are neutered.

A long-term benefit of spaying and neutering is improved health for both cats and dogs. Spaying females prior to their first heat cycle nearly eliminates the risk of breast cancer and totally prevents uterine infections and uterine cancer. Neutering males prevents testicular cancer and enlargement of the prostate gland, and greatly reduces their risk for perianal tumors.

Surgery
Surgery can be anything from an annual Dental Cleaning to a Spay/Neuter or Orthapedic Surgery. These can be preventitive or life saving surgeries. If you have your pet booked in for a surgery please follow the link below to get more information on your pets surgery.

Micro Chipping

Dog and cat microchipping is a simple procedure. A veterinarian simply injects a microchip for pets, about the size of a grain of rice (12mm), beneath the surface of your pets skin between the shoulder blades. The process is similar to a routine shot, takes only a few seconds, and your pet will not react any more than he would to a vaccination. No anesthetic is required.

We offer microchipping with 12 months

registration with HOME AGAIN.

Grooming

We offer basic grooming services such as Nail Trim, Anal Gland Expression and Bathing.

Dental Care

Annual Dental Cleaning is recommended for your pets as it not only helps keep their breath under control but can prevent other medical conditions from developing. Dental disease can lead to illnesses. The bacteria in plaque is linked to heart disease, heart attack, and cardiac arrhythmia. Pets can develop serious, even life-threatening, illness due to the bacteria in their mouths when they have dental disease. Among the organs damaged by these oral bacteria are the kidneys, lungs, and bladder.

Radiology

Better know as x-rays this procedure can help to find internal reasons for your pet being sick. Things such as an intestinal blockage cannot be diagnosed with bloodwork or a general exam. Arthritis is a common ailement in older pets. Radiographs can often be used to rule out possible illnesses without the needs for exploritory surgeries.

Boarding
There are many places you can board your pets while you are away. However if your pets is unwell or on medications for serious illnesses such as seizures; boarding at a regular boarding facility may not be the best choice.

At our clinic we offer boarding and peace of mind that your pet is in the best hands to handle any situations that may arise while you are away. We know your pets medical history and are already there should an emergency arise.
